| I thought I'd feature this drawing since it's almost a year since I posted it. If I'd realised it would be popular, I'd have taken more care photographing it! It was a quick snap with a cheap camera, with no contrast editing, and so doesn't really do the drawing justice. The most time consuming part of this drawing was the 5 square foot of black I had to shade, building layer upon layer, using 6B at the top progressing to HB at the bottom. |

| I have enjoyed both drawing and photography from an early age. I got my first camera when I was 8, then a cheap second-hand Russian 35mm SLR when I was 13. After a long lapse of both activities, I've just begun to renew my interest in them, and the DA site has helped that personal renaissance. It's fascinating to explore the myriad of different submissions from people around the globe. My drawing and photography is an occasional and casual relaxation, but I do sometimes attempt to either capture the beauty of the subject, or of the moment, or else try to portray an opinion or message. Perhaps occasionally all three! Sometimes I may fail miserably on all fronts, but there's still a rich joy to be had in the trying, and to quote G K Chesterton - "If a things worth doing, its worth doing badly!" |

- MP3 player of choice: Too mundane a question to warrant a reply
- Shell of choice: Giant Clam
- Wallpaper of choice: The velvet flock type you used to get in Indian restaurants
- Skin of choice: female, smooth and gently fragrant
- Favourite game: chess, football to name but a few
- Favourite gaming platform: carpeted floor (tho grass is better for football!)
- Favourite cartoon character: Tom (NOT Jerry) Homer Simpson, Gromit
